The Executive Council of the Chamber of Commerce's Business Women discussed initiatives to empower women in leadership positions in the private sector at the 3rd Board meeting on Sunday October 7th at the headquarter of the Chamber in Dammam.
Maram Bint Saeed al-Jishi, the head of the Council, who chaired the meeting that the Council, reviewed the most prominent achievements of Saudi woman in the business sector through her position as an employee or responsible in some leadership positions in the private sector.
She pointed out that many companies gave the space to Saudi women, who have proved successful in the implementation of their tasks and a high level of professional standards and achieved outstanding results.
She explained that the meeting discussed the empowerment of Saudi women in various sectors, notably the industry and information technology.
She emphasized that the Kingdom is rich in many competencies in these two areas, and they have worked with their efforts and innovations many professionals in these sectors.
She cited the participation of women in the events and forums specialized in these areas, which recorded an unexpected superiority.
